During Marseille’s annual Fête de l’Assomption, a golden statue of the Virgin Mary is carried from the Cathédrale de la Major through the narrow streets of Le Panier. Dillon Rana documents the procession from within the crowd, observing the meeting of faith, tradition and everyday life in one of the city’s oldest neighbourhoods.
