Future Bird explores transformation, freedom and the relationship between humanity and the natural world through Derrick Santini's distinctive lenticular process.
Layering figure, colour and imagery into a single shifting composition, the work combines the silhouette of a human form with the powerful presence of birds of prey. Vivid pinks, blues and acid yellows create an almost hallucinatory palette, while the image continually changes as the viewer moves around it.
Balancing beauty with ambiguity, Future Bird invites multiple interpretations. Part portrait, part myth and part visual experiment, it reflects Santini's fascination with identity, evolution and the symbolic power of the natural world.
