Created using Derrick Santini's pioneering lenticular process, Touching Gold transforms a fleeting movement into an ever-changing visual experience.
Bathed in vivid magentas, violets, golds, greens, reds and blues, the figure appears suspended between water, light and shadow, while shifting layers reveal new forms and gestures as the viewer moves. Reflections below create a dreamlike double image, blurring the boundary between reality and illusion.
Both ethereal and immersive, the work explores movement, transformation and the beauty of a moment that can never be seen in quite the same way twice.
